This Learning Pack for Key Stage 1 & 2 teachers is brought to you by MOKO Dance as part its Spring 2016 tour of Digitopia by Tom Dale Company. The pack illustrates how concepts from the performance can be the starting point for exciting creative sessions in the classroom.
This pack has been developed to reflect the increased levels of challenge in the new National Curriculum and, in particular, for pupils in Key Stage 1. The pack’s inspiration has been the performance of Digitopia and it covers some of the statutory requirements contained in a range of National Curriculum subjects and, where appropriate, includes elements of the non-statutory guidance. Most of the activities are linked to a specific key stage. Teachers may well decide to use an activity, with modifications if thought necessary, with younger or older pupils.
The Chotto Desh inspired Learning Pack for Key Stage 2 teachers is brought to you by MOKO Dance as part its Autumn 2015 tour of Chotto Desh for 7+ years by Akram Khan (Choreography) and Sue Buckmaster of Theatre-Rites (Direction). The pack illustrates how concepts from the performance can be the starting point for exciting creative sessions in the classroom.
Offering a vast range of activities, all very closely linked to the National Curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science, Drama, Art & Design, Computing, Design and Technology, Geography, Music, Physical Education, PSHE, Citizenship and Ethics, and more), the pack aims to deepen children’s understanding of the performance, relating it to their own experience as well as to above mentioned areas of the curriculum.
The Constellations Learning Pack for Key Stage 1 teachers illustrates how concepts and images from the performances can be the starting point for exciting creative sessions in the classroom. It aims to deepen children’s understanding of the performance, relating it to their own experience, as well as to other areas of the curriculum (Art & Design, Maths, English, Science and PE).
