Aracaladanza and MOKO Dance announce UK tour of Vuelos (Flights)

A family friendly dance theatre show for 5+ years, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci

Multi-award winning international company Aracaladanza in association with MOKO Dance present Vuelos, meaning Flights, a new dance theatre production for children aged 5+years and their families, touring the UK from 5 May to 13 June.

After critically acclaimed Constellations (2012), Clouds (2009), and Slice of Paradise (2006), a trilogy inspired by the work of Spanish surrealists Miró, Magritte and Bosch, in Vuelos, Aracalandanza’s choreographer and director Enrique Cabrera delves into the imagination of the visionary genius of Leonardo da Vinci.

Cabrera has captured the creativity and innovation of Leonardo da Vinci’s exceptional inventiveness whilst retaining Aracaladanza’s trademark playfulness and style. This production inspires a sense of wonder in everyone who sees it, and encourages us all to allow our imaginations to take flight and make extraordinary things happen. This is a delight to be shared by anyone who has ever dared to dream.

***** “Visually stunning and abundantly playful: the children are entranced by it” The Stage (on Constellations, MOKO Dance UK Tour 2014)

“Fantastic, visually beautiful: loved it all” Audience member (on Constellations, MOKO Dance UK Tour 2014)

As with all other MOKO Dance performances, Vuelos-inspired activities will be available for the whole family to enjoy together, from creative dance workshops to arts-based activities held in the foyer pre and post show.

Vuelos is produced by Aracaladanza, co-produced by Sadler’s Wells, Festival Grec, Nottingham Lakeside Arts, Teatro de la Abada and Comunidad de Madrid.

Supported by Arts Council England, the 2016 UK tour is produced by MOKO Dance.

UK tour dates: 5 May – 13 June 2016
